• Handle all new hire Onboarding/orientation, introduce new hires to policies and procedures, interview and screen recruits, interview for internal promotions, assist employees with benefits, manage FMLA and STD claims, maintain records for internal training, attendance and leave requests, conduct training sessions for continued education in ethics and code of conduct, coordinate employee engagement and recognition programs, manage employee relation issues.

• As a patrol officer I enforced local and state laws, interacted with the public and investigated crimes. I further conducted traffic enforcement as well as interviews with victims and suspects. I completed daily reports, and assisted with search warrants. I was also engaged in community activities, teaching self defense to female citizens and was part of the hostage negotiation team. I assisted citizens in making appropriate decisions and helped problem solve on a daily basis. I was involved in recruitment and spoke with potential candidates at local colleges.

• As a Deputy Sheriff I enforced local and state laws, transported prisoners, assisted with courtroom security, investigated crimes and conducted interviews. I completed detailed reports and completed subpoena requests. I further assisted in job recruitment of future candidates.

After working for the Sheriff's Office for ten months, I was promoted to Program Director. I was responsible for creating the programs for the newly opened Incarceration Facility. I worked with local businesses to obtain donations for our inmate library. I established inmate counseling classes, GED classes and self-help community classes. I ensured that all classes ran smoothly and inmates had access to any classes or counseling needed to assist them in readjusting to life as a citizen.
