• Performs informal speech, language, and fluency screenings; performs formal articulation, expressive/ receptive language, fluency, pragmatic language, and functional communication evaluations, Performs hearing screenings, informal language samples, and oral peripheral examinations
• Develops individualized education plans, including present levels of communication, therapy goals, services, and classroom accommodations and modifications for students with speech and language impairments
• Collaborates with other educators and professionals regarding students including, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologists, interventionists, behavior therapists, ELL specialists, and school administrators.
• Educates and provides professional training to other professionals on childhood development of speech and language, and provides education on when to refer students for services.
• Works with and helps educators implement classroom strategies for children with autism spectrum disorder, receptive/expressive language delays, and articulation delays.
• Experience with providing in -home therapy for adults with multiple communication and feeding/swallowing disorders including aphasia, dysphagia.
• Supervises graduate students during clinical placement
