Working with the community to better the future for the homeless
I assembled a a volunteer mission with a few colleagues of mine to assist and support our local homeless shelter in Reno NV.
We do this by providing financial contributions, education materials. We also assist and teach them how to gather up
resources that will assist them in something as basic as a voucher for clothes or hygiene and or needing assistance
with obtaining there Birth certificate, Social security card or there identification card their is also the more complex
resources such as applying for housing or deposits for rent.
My colleagues and I have also developed a curriculum program to teach and reinforce
safe hygiene practice, first aid and nutrition through interactive lessons,
Conceptualized and successfully launched an initiative that collected contributions of gently
used furniture and other household items in which were donated to the shelter.
