Here I've included highlights from my AI journey since this past Fall 2023:

• Achievement of CCC in AI Awareness Certification, highlighting Introduction to AI, AI Business, Ethics, and Machine Learning.
• Participated as a Panel Speaker for the Business Higher Education Forum "BHEF" Winter 2024 Member Meeting at Miami Dade College March 4-5, 2024 Preparing NextGen Talent on a Discussion, “How Can We Ensure AI is an Enabler of Opportunity in Learning and Work?” This panel included: Moderator Alejandra Y Castillo, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development, U.S. Department of Commerce and Speakers: Phaedra Boinodiris, Global Leader for Trustworthy AI, IBM / Kristina Francis, Executive Director from JFF Labs, and I also joined the panel representing my fellow colleagues in our MDC's AI Program. I was honored to be a part of this discussion alongside such distinguished AI Industry Leaders immensely grateful to be included. It reaffirmed AI's inclusiveness that AI is for all of us!
• Active role as an Ambassador of the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Steering Committee. Spreading and Creating AI Awareness in: Communications, Promotion, Campus Representation, Student Liaison, Feedback Collection, Collaboration and Teamwork. This Panel included...
• United by passion for innovation, myself and three ladies in the AI Program, all from diverse backgrounds and different skills, created an AI ChatBot. To test it, we decided to do the MVP so we created a Dummy website to embed our AI ChatBot with a goal to refine it and bring Mr. Finn to life!
• Showcasing Mr. Finn our AI ChatBot, spreading AI knowledge, and enthusiasm to various audiences and members of the community, including our MDC President Madeline Pumariega and team leaders, Miami- Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami- Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, and our U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo who left us an inspiring and encouraging message for us AI students at MDC, "You are leading the Country in this great work! Keep Going!!!"
• Presented a Proposal to MDC's Wolfson Campus decision makers on an AI Idea and Collaboration from the AI students. Awaiting for a green light from the College and IT department.
• Actively engaged in Miami's vibrant community surrounding AI at the College, participating in events and activities to further knowledge and network in this innovative field. Committed to embracing AI & forward-thinking approach and dedication to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.
• AI Society Club Member with a strong presence and participation in the AI community, reinforcing the importance of collaboration and innovation in the tech sector
• Always eager to share the journey and knowledge in the field of AI by presenting and being a panelist during AI information Sessions at MDC contributing to the AI Community sharing insights and igniting a passion for AI in others.
• Interviewed by an economics reporter with The Wall Street Journal, to discuss my personal AI Path for a story about the Miami jobs market. referred to by Madeline Pumariega, President from Miami Dade College.
• Before the pursuit of AI’s academic journey, Paula excelled as a top producer of sales and marketing for prestigious real estate firms representing well known developers demonstrating unparalleled sales expertise and an in-depth understanding of the Real Estate industry for over 15 forming a part of Miamis Skyline Real Estate Transformation contributing to over $133million in sales across Pre-Construction and Re-Sales.
• Academic background in Journalism and Mass Communications, paired with a Florida Real Estate license.
• Currently A non-traditional and leading student representing the new wave of students that are coming to MDC to upskill in the Artificial Intelligence Program.
