  • In many cases, the legacy systems are supported due to capital budget constraints
  • This requires quite a bit of creativity in replacing obsolete equipment with modern counterparts that are generally only barely compatible
  • Additionally, modern videoconferencing equipment is not a ‘one size fits all’ solution, evidenced by widely varying user-experience feedback
  • In many cases this has been a challenging transition; however, I have attended a number of technical forums and training sessions to stay up to date on the wide variety of equipment available for audiovisual solutions
  • Additionally, in recent times I’ve focused more heavily on the networking and videoconferencing aspects of business – due to client requirements and the obvious industry-wide trend toward telecommuting as a cost-saving and productivity measure.
