* Foundation: general nursing care for 20 months after graduating with a Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing in 1988

* Specialized: Adult Intensive Care Nursing for 9 years, completing the Graduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing Care towards the end of that time.

* Commencing March 1997, I specialized in Hemodialysis/ Renal nursing care, which involved both in Centre & acute hemodialysis care.

* In May 2000, I started in Maputo, Mozambique, where I led a team in setting up a primary health care clinic for babies, children & adults. I worked there for 4 years.

* August- November 2004, I worked again in NZ, in the Tauranga ICU while I waited for my immigrant visa to USA.

* Started at Cook Childrens Medical Center PICU in September 2005. Moved to the Cardiac ICU team in 2007 & have remained in the CICU since.
