● Performing basic nursing tasks delegated by qualified nurses including vital signs monitoring, catheter care and skin checks.
● Providing high-quality care to the elderly, vulnerable adults and children in hospitals and community settings.
● Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and safe practice guidelines.
● Maintaining accurate and up to date records of care provided including incident reports.
● Ensuring the security and confidentiality of all patient information.
● Building strong relationships with patients and other healthcare professionals.
● Promoting patient independence and dignity by encouraging participation in daily routines and social activities.
● Utilizing de-escalation techniques to manage situations where patients exhibit physical aggression or abusive behaviour.
● Contributing to the development of safety and management plans for patients by reporting concerns to the appropriate authorities.
● Collaborating with social services and the police to support and supervise families under child safeguarding requirements.

● Providing personal care (washing, dressing, incontinence care) to service users, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
● Monitoring service users’ health, behavioural and physical conditions and reporting concerns to the appropriate staff members
● Administering medications as prescribed in the MAR chart.
● Assisting with safe transferring, repositioning and movement of service users’ minimizing the risk of injuries
● Establishing friendly relationships with service users and their families to promote their general well-being.
● Providing comprehensive handover notes for colleagues to strengthen continuity of care.
● Keeping to health and safety policies to keep both staff and service users’ safe.
● Maintaining cleanliness of service users’ areas and facilities as instructed.

● Responding to enquiries from service users’ relatives, providing information and support.
● Offering emotional support and reassurance to service users, addressing their individual needs.
● Building rapport with service users and their families, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
● Providing comprehensive handover notes to colleagues, ensuring continuity of care.
