Football shaped the person I am today. From 2013 to 2017, I had the opportunity to play high school football in Salem, Oregon, where I earned Greater Valley Conference All-Conference honors as a Running Back. That recognition meant a lot to me because it reflected the countless hours of hard work, discipline, and commitment I put in every day—not just for myself, but for my teammates.
Being a running back taught me that success comes from preparation, perseverance, and trusting the people around you. Every practice, every game, and every challenge pushed me to become mentally tougher and more accountable. I learned that when one person gives their best effort, it helps the entire team succeed.
Those lessons have stayed with me long after football. Whether I'm working in manufacturing, construction, or learning a new trade, I bring the same mindset to the job every day. I'm someone who shows up ready to work, takes pride in doing things the right way, learns quickly, and doesn't back down from hard work. I enjoy being part of a team, supporting the people around me, and finding satisfaction in accomplishing difficult goals together.
Football gave me more than an award—it gave me a strong work ethic, resilience, and the determination to keep improving. Those values continue to guide me in everything I do, and they're the same qualities I bring to every employer and every opportunity.
