Leadership roles

  • Director, Lung Nodule Program, Mercy Hospital, 1/2024 till date, I use advanced bronchoscopy techniques including ION Robotic Peripheral Navigation lung biopsy, Peripheral radial ultrasound, Curvilinear Endobronchial Ultrasound, I also perform interventional pulmonary procedures like Cryo Lung Biopsy, Percutaneous Tracheostomy, Indwelling Pleural Catheter placement, Swan-Ganz Catheter placement, along with several other pulmonary & critical care procedures.
  • Department of Medicine Chair, Mercy Hospital, 1/2022 – 12/2023
  • Clinical Director for the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program in Northwest Arkansas, Mercy Hospital, 2017 - till date, I was instrumental in starting and developing the only Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) clinic for Northwest Arkansas at Mercy Clinic. This clinic serves now a population of about 200-mile radius. Our multidisciplinary team of experts include: 4 pulmonologists, 4 APRN's, Dietician, Respiratory therapist, Social workers, Physical therapist, Pharmacist, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic coordinator and Nurses.
  • Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee Chairman, Mercy Hospital, AR, 2016 – 12/2023, The Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee is an interdisciplinary team through which the Physicians, in conjunction with pharmacists, nurses, administrators, quality-improvement managers, and other health care professionals carries out its responsibility to promote safe, effective, and cost-effective drug therapy. The P&T Committee will develop policies and procedures regarding drug evaluation, selection, and utilization of pharmaceutical and other therapeutic products. The P&T Committee reports to the Medical Executive Committee (MEC).
  • Clinic Board of Directors, Mercy Northwest Arkansas Community, 1/2017 – 12/2019, I was one of the elected board of directors for Mercy Northwest Arkansas Community. Along with other board of directors, I am actively involved in making key leadership decisions related to medical staff policies and procedures, with an emphasis on quality control and quality improvement initiatives related to all the Mercy Clinics in Northwest Arkansas.
  • Medical Executive Committee – Executive Member, Mercy Hospital, AR, 2016 - 2023, The Medical Executive Committee (MEC) is the primary governance body for the medical staff in a healthcare setting. The MEC, makes key leadership decisions related to medical staff policies, procedures, and rules, with an emphasis on quality control and quality improvement initiatives. They are also responsible for adopting and implementing medical staff policies, procedures and creating medical staff appointment and reappointment criteria.
  • Board of Directors, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northwest Arkansas chapter, 2017 – 2019, I am one of the board of directors and actively involved with the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Cystic CF Foundation. I was a key note speaker at several fundraisers and meetings held by the CF Foundation.
  • Chief Resident - Internal Medicine Residency Training program, St Luke’s Hospital, PA, I was a 3rd year Chief Resident at St Luke’s Hospital Internal Medicine Resident Program, selected for my exceptional clinical and leadership skills.
