Summary

R.D. Bailey Lake, I worked as SCA team member. Interpretative talks about water safety, history of the project, directions to day use areas. Assisted in the initial implementation of the new fee system R1S, this took the use fee collection from a cash self-registration to a cashless computer-based registration. Assisting performed boat patrols enforcing water safety, completing vessel inspections looking for required safety equipment. In addition to patrolling waters, I also patrolled land and day use areas of R.D. Bailey Lake which is just over 19,000 acres. Explain regulations to park visitors and regulations Chapter III, Title 36, Code. Wore the US Army Corp of Engineers water safety mascot Bobber costume for events three hundred kids learned about water safety. Preparing for the event I assembled over three hundred water safety bags for the event. Another event was a parade in which I wrote up the plans for and presented to management for approval. This consisted of safety measures, parade route, and assignment of who was presenting material, road blockades and personnel positions. Assisted in creating a sign order. Completed preoperational checklist for boat and vehicles. Patrolled Wildlife management areas checking gates on crops property, looking for dumpsites, and timber theft. Completed playground inspections weekly on five playgrounds ensuring safe conditions. Contacted playground equipment manufacturer Gametime representative to obtain quotes to replace worn or damaged equipment. Obtain quotes for mulch finding the best value and fiscal responsibility of government funds. Completed a storyboard for upper management to see a snapshot of water safety event. Investigate theft of government property, emergency call. Did Activity Hazards analysis type set form .68 job steps, Hazards Actions to Eliminate or Minimize Hazards (RAC). Assisting in VERS checking counter and documenting, reading mechanical traffic counters. Prepared reports after patrolling property for problems I found. Performed any duties that was assigned to me with willingness to get job done.
