My duties included,

- answering the nurse triage line for the patient's of 14 wonderful providers and provide assistance to our patients, triage, document and route appropriately

-Patient call backs

-Calling patient's with their test results, providing education regarding their results and scheduling follow up visits, as needed

-Responding to MyChart messages and providing appropriate interventions

-Assisting our providers with their patient care needs in a timely manner

-scheduling problem visits, New OB visits, etc., as needed

-refilling medications as needed

I was originally hired to perform OB/GYN Triage RN duties for a busy office of 14 providers and transitioned into a position at the Virtual Care Center, which expanded to perform those duties for 11 Mercy OB/GYN offices.

My duties included,

-Answering patient calls, assessment, triage, treatment, education, documenting and scheduling problem office visits.

-Calling patients with their test results, providing treatment and education and scheduling follow up visits.

-Responding to MyMercy messages and providing appropriate interventions.

-Ordering testing, medications and referrals.

-Assisting the doctors with their patient care needs, in a timely manner.

-Refilling and calling in specialty prescriptions.

Patient Care for 3-4 High Risk Postpartum Couplets - Including assessments, post-op care, administering medications, blood products and frequent blood draws on newborns, feedings, testing, teaching and discharge planning.

Answer the Nurse line for the patient's of 9 providers, provide assistance to patients, triage, document and route appropriately.

Schedule problem appointments, HSG's, procedures, schedule and give Injections.

Order testing, medications, refill medication and perform Prior Authorizations.

Provide patient's with their test results, education and schedule follow up as needed.

Order and request MFM Consults and testing.

Track STD's and Abnormal Pap Results and follow up test results.

Staff Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Responsible for the management of laboring patients, including high risk patients.

OB Recovery Room

Women's Evaluation Unit Triage

Circulating nurse in C-Sections

Assist in orientation of staff nurses, student nurses and paramedic students.

The Management and care of residents, within a 50 bed unit, along with, 6 CNA's and 1 CMT .

Staff Nurse - Medical Surgical Nursing

The management of medical patients, pre-operative and post-operative patients, with a 10 to 12 patient care assignment.
