Master Naturalist
I was a founding member of the local Headwaters Master Naturalists. This program has created opportunities for many local participants to pursue citizen scientist activities.
I personally have participated in the Smithsonian's Virginia Working Landscape Grasslands Bird Survey here in Augusta County. I have also participated with the USGS Mountain Breeding Bird survey for approximately nine summers in Augusta County, as well.
