• Taught Health Science Foundations to Juniors and Seniors as part of a collaboration between Mayo Clinic Florida and the Duval County School Board/Atlantic Coast High School during 2023/2024 school year. This was the inaugural class in a CNA Pathway offered to ACHS students; it is the only CNA pathway in Duval County. Due to FTE requirements, I will be a substitute for Health Science Foundations and the CNA Course (inaugural senior-only course) for the 2024/2025 school year.
• Part of team that supplemented course syllabus with educational content, generated tests and projects.

• Fosters a supportive work environment/promotes open communication among the team.
• Manages conflict resolution among staff and patients while maintaining professionalism throughout difficult situations.
• Encourages personal and professional development of staff.
• Currently responsible for staff of 7: drafts and maintains staff schedules, manages day-to-day tasks, handles issues that arise with patients and scheduling.
• With support of nursing leadership, initiated/ maintain the transition of our team from on-site to remote work.
• Assists in conducting job applicant interviews.
• Trains new staff in MIRA. Assists in mentoring/training new staff in Endocrinology and Nephrology.
• Implemented and trained Endocrinology staff on Compass Rose, a monitoring tool for Prolia and Reclast patients.

• Medical Specialties Unit Coordinating Council - Secretary (April 2022-July 2024) | Our UCC developed a Quality Project that culminated with the RAVE Award, which became part of the 2024 Enterprise Nursing Strategic Plan for Mayo Clinic. I am currently part of a workgroup to scale a similar award across the Enterprise.
• Medical Specialties Unit Coordinating council - Chair (July 2024-Present) | We are currently developing a Quality project focused on how cultural differences impact healthcare.

• Conducted in-person and phone interviews to obtain patients’ health and medication histories.
• Provided preop instructions and teaching to patients and their families.
• Performed chart reviews to ensure OR readiness and determined necessity for anesthesia review.

• Initiated and coordinated referral process for home health.
• Documented and communicated with home care staff, physicians and social workers regarding referral status.
