  • Engine Diag. included performing cylinder leak down test, compression test to heads and cylinders, to assure that the piston rings were not worn out, also to make sure the head gaskets were not damaged. Also performed test to injection pumps of all types to assure the engine was performing at its peak performance.
  • Hydraulic diag and repairs included when trucks had loss of pressures when using auxiliary functions. I would check pressures while using these functions and then use laptop to check Eng. Rpms and checking parameters while using the hyd. Functions. Then determine wether or not if it is internal issue or mechanical issue. Then repairing what is necessary.
  • Transmission diag included running trucks through all gears and getting up to operating temp. Checking fluids and making sure fluids are not burnt and no foreign objects are in the fluid. Some transmissions have collars that attach to the output shaft of the transmission which have a tendance of being damaged. Then would properly build a quote for customers for proper repairs for customers, then would look up parts for parts department.
  • Drive axle diag and repairs would include finding what the issues are then checking out fluids and checking out ring ring gear and pinion gear then making sure there is no foreign debris oil. Would perform necessary repairs to truck in a timely manner to get truck back to customer.
  • Brake diag and repairs included wet, dry and air brakes on several types of vehicles wether it was a forklift or our haul trucks or service vehicles.
  • Performing diag and repairs on telehandler trucks with damaged booms from damaged chains, damaged hyd. lines to complete boom over hauls or replacing entire boom.
  • Have also completed 16 online courses through MCFA and willing to provide those certifications if need be.
  • Have also completed all Pure Safety courses provided through DARR Equipment.
  • Have also got my certification of completion for Sit-down counterbalanced Products/ Warehouse Products.

  • Performed paint and body work, feather in damaged bondo then applying new bondo to areas that have bare metal castings. Sanding new bondo to a smooth surface then applying primer to those areas. Putting three coats of rattle can paint down with first coat being just enough to have a good coverage over primer. Second coat going on a little heavier and third coat to give a nice smooth surface.
  • Performed extensive Engine, Transmission and Differential over hauls. Using tools such as dial indicators, mikes, feeler gauges, torque wrenches, degree dial indicators, software extending from eps software and dpi software, scan tools.
  • Eng. Overhauls performed from doing valve adjustments with feeler gauges on our semi trucks and our diesel forklifts, to the removal of warped heads and damaged head gaskets. Perform cylinder leak down test and compression test to make sure there was no more then a 15% variance between cylinders which determines weather or not if there is a valve issue or bad rings on the piston heads.
  • Trans. Rebuilds was to check to see if the seals that help keep hyd. Pressure up to allow the friction plates and pressure plates are meshing properly. Then also performing hyd. Pressure readings for torque converters to determine if there is any internal damages to torque converter that is not allowing the right pressures to get to the clutch pack for transmission. Also performed electrical diagnosing on shift solenoids to determine weather or not if it shift solenoids are bad or if it is in the neutral safety switch or possibly in the gear selector.
  • Differential rebuilds was to tear down the third member check for damaged teeth on the ring gear and pinion gear. To also verify that the back lash is within the proper readings which if not properly adjust can cause pre wear and tear on the gears teeth.
  • Also performing job duties such as the up keep of our haul trucks that are Peterbilt and our two freightliners. Job duties entailed a/c work, brake work, pm services, electrical work, differential work and some minor body repairs.
  • Also performing the up keep and diagnostic work on our company vehicles and personal diagnostic work for employees.
  • Performed job task of customer truck evaluations. Customer trucks will come in and I would perform a thorough inspection of the trucks performance, oil levels and safety features on truck. Then put together a thorough list of findings for customer, I would give recommendations to customer to give them more options to provide a good performing and safe piece of equipment for their employees that would be cost efficient for their company.

  • Differential assembly/ disassembly: disassembled differential to component parts. After inspecting ring gear and pinion gear for wear and tear, selected replacement components, reassembled differential components to specifications, used dial indicator to determine back lash and used shims to correct back lash issues.
  • Disassembled wheel hubs, removed rear hub seals, wheel bearings, bearing races, snap rings and shims. Removal of CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) seals. Put wheel hub and components into sky sol solvent to remove grease, oil and debris. Inspect wheel bearings and races for pitting, rust and wear. Replaced components with pitted components that are within specs. Install wheel hub assembly onto spindle then placed shims, reduction gears and planetary gears in place to check tolerance for proper backlash on the wheel hub assembly. Pressurized CTIS to verify no leaks in the system.
