Staff Sergeant (SSG/E-6): Completed a 24-year career with the U.S. Army with combined service in the Army Reserve, Florida Army National Guard and Regular Army. Gained section and shop level manager status. Served in the Army during a period of rapid geopolitical and domestic transformation at the company, battalion, and brigade levels. Helped to maximize the Army’s limited resources during budgetary constraints and restructuring. Specific duties and achievements include:

Experienced in personnel management of up to 22 subordinates. Management responsibilities included work place crisis resolution, pay issues resolution, individual training need assessments of personnel. Responsible for subordinate career counseling, training, and professional development. Responsible for creating and maintaining a suitable work environment that focused on team work and individual responsibility that is free of discrimination and sexual harassment. Duties for this period included the following: Supervised, inspected and performed aviation unit (AVUM), intermediate (AVIM) and depot level maintenance and repairs on the Kiowa Warrior (OH-58D/ARH) helicopter armament, electrical, and avionics systems to include the electrical, electronic, mechanical and Pneudraulics/Hydraulics associated with those systems. Has also received extensive training and maintenance experience on the Cobra (AH-1F) and Apache (AH-64A) weapons system platforms. Also qualified since 2002 as an Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician. Able to inspect, maintain, and repair aviation life support equipment and survival equipment, including flotation equipment, anti-exposure suits, first aid kits, survival vests, radios, aircrew body armor and restraint harnesses, flight helmets, chemical and biological protective masks, oxygen masks and systems and conduct aircrew survival training. Held a Secret Clearance during this period.

2004 to 2007 Radio & Communications Security (COMSEC) Repairer. Graduated from U.S. Army Ordinance Missile and Munitions Center and School at Fort Gordon, Georgia in 2005. Duties for this period included the following: Performed or supervised field and sustainment level maintenance on radio receivers, transmitters, Communication Security (COMSEC) equipment, controlled cryptographic items (CCI), and associated equipment. Training included basic familiarization in the field of electrical engineering and electronic circuit component identification, replacement, and repair. Held a Secret Clearance during this period.
