• Planned designed and led crews in the construction of advanced trail structures such as large bridges and retaining walls
• Led crews in trail maintenance in remote wilderness areas within Olympic National Park
• Instructed and certified park staff across the country in chainsaw safety maintenance and operation
• Fell trees and instructed other fallers in Olympic National Parks hazard tree program
• Designed and trained others in the use of complex rigging operations such as high lines and double high leads for moving large logs and large bridge components
• Climb trees to set high blocks for rigging using
• Worked with helicopters to support large projects in the backcountry
• Trained crews in safe operation of small equipment such as excavators and skid steers
• Maintained and repaired hand tool and power tools

In this position I worked on crews based out of Saguaro National Park that traveled between 12 National Parks in the southwest area in need of crews. We did everything from :

• Concrete work,
• Mine closures,
• Fence building
