At my current place of employment I work with elderly and disabled residents at a Skilled nursing Wing of Southern Humbodlt Community Hospital District. Duties and experience include,

• Initiating and monitoring activities of daily living, taking and recording vital sign records, including pulse rate, respiration rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure and body temperature observing from any departure from baseline or breached parameters.
• Recording standard body measurements such as body weight, height, and gait, monitoring and recording input output of liquids and solid foods.
• Administering medications implementing the 6 rights and 3 checks of medication administration.
• Recording subjective and objective data, monitoring residents environment maintaining comfortable room temperatures and making safety and comfort priority.
• Assisting patients and residents with their daily routines including brushing teeth, bathing, feeding and toileting.
• Always observant of residents and patients outlook and cognizant of persons emotional, psychological and mental profile providing empathy and pleasant attitudes to patients, staff and residents.
• Wound care treatments performed for any transferred residents needing care and pericare performed for incontinent patients or residents done timely on schedule keeping patients Integumentary clean dry and intact.
• Foley catheter insertion maintenance and care, administration for male and female residents using sterile technique.
• Blood Glucose monitoring with administering insulin's including sliding scale.
• Preparing reports for oncoming shift with residents conditions, any changes in condition and any scheduled appts and medication changes.

• Administered basic patient care and treatments by dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas and performing catheterizations.
• Delivered treatments and direct nursing care according to physicians' orders in nursing environment.
• Reported health status concerns to senior nursing staff and clinicians for review.
• Supported patients in completing activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming and shower assistance.
• Administered medication such as insulin and monitored patients' responses to detect problems.
