  • Ability to plan, build, machine, assemble, and repair routine and complex fixtures, gauges, and machine attachments for the production of aerospace components & work with Tool Design to make alterations to blueprints or verbal instructions
  • Responsibilities: Bridgeport/Radial swing-arm grinding, Manual lathe, Proto-trak lathe, Surface grinders, Jig bores, Wire EDM, Heat treating, Tool room inspection/PC-DMIS, Manual layout, Horizontal mill/bore, Tool room assorted tooling and machines
  • Worked with numerous trainers & alongside machinists & inspectors to obtain a rigorous background in running, setting up, and developing machines & interpreting & reading op sheets, setup sheets, blueprints

I went thru the four-year state apprenticeship with Barnes aerospace and learned all the duties and terminology that goes along with machinist. I ran manual machines and used manual gauging ,blueprint classes and gd&t successfully graduated.
