As floor staff, I was tasked with being able to perform federal background checks for every sale of a firearm, maintaining great attention to detail for every form filled out. I'd also walk through different options of firearms with customers, finding what product would best suit the needs and wants of the customer. This also required having a working knowledge of different manufacturers and their products, that I may understand their strengths and weaknesses. Working with firearms, I also needed to demonstrate a higher levels of competency to handle and teach about firearms, which included but was not limited to; proper handling and functions of any given firearm, basic firearm safety, and even assembly/disassembly of the firearm.
As the safes manager, I was in charge of coordinating, scheduling, delivering, installing, and filing all things gun safes related. I was required to also have a working knowledge of our gun safe products and work with Liberty Safes as a direct dealer of their products. My job required interacting with or contacting our customers to schedule delivery dates and times, loading and delivering their gun safes, and even performing an in-home installment of their safe. Safe weights ranged from 250lbs to as heavy as 1700lbs. I was also in charge of filing all paperwork associated with safe sales and also maintaining our inventory.
As a BOH member, I primarily worked as a cook, but my job also included prep work and dish washing. We were required to maintain strict health code guidelines and properly cleaned work stations. I was required to keep our work stations well stocked and clean throughout the entire shift and to communicate with both FOH and other BOH staff to coordinate what was needed, what we didn't have, and to maintain organization for efficientcy and rapid order output.
As a service member, I was held to a very high standard of conduct. I maintained a very strict schedule, training regiment, dress and uniform code, and work performance. I was expected to be able to adapt to any new environments or whatever was required of me with steadfastness and efficiency. I actively would seek any leadership opportunities within my flight or amongst my peers, that I may make their lives easier and to serve those I was in charge of.
As the assistant manager, my job included but was not limited to; managing cash intake with high accuracy and prepare bank deposits, maintained proper inventory and restocking procedures, upheld strict health code standards and company policies, helped manage employee schedules and shift coverage, handled customer complaints and inquiries, logged daily sales records and forwarded all important business information to our cooperate offices, trained all new employees on company standards and procedures, cross trained employees for other positions within the store, and had to maintain my own proficiency in all positions within our restaurant.
