Peyton Hoyt

Pre-dental student and NCAA Division III athlete with leadership experience as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and captain of the UMHB men’s soccer team. Maintained a 3.86 GPA in Biology with a Business Administration minor while completing the DAT and engaging in dental shadowing and community service. Recognized for strong work ethic and discipline, earning multiple All-Conference honors. Committed to pursuing a career in dentistry, focusing on oral surgery and patient-centered care.

Drafted and refined my personal statement and successfully applied through TMDSAS and AADSAS, while completing mock interviews in both multiple mini interview and traditional formats to prepare for admissions. Secured letters of recommendation from professors, the UMHB Pre-Health committee, and practicing dentists. Gained firsthand experience working in a general dentist’s office and shadowing multiple dentists across specialties, observing a wide range of procedures and patient care approaches. In addition, I developed and maintained a time-management system that balanced 5–8 hours per day of DAT study with the demands of NCAA athletics and leadership responsibilities.
