Summary

Camp Honey Creek has been the most rewarding experience, not just from working there but also from being a long time camper. Growing up in an environment that fosters so much love, I found a space to flourish in my quality of character. Dedication to my responsibilities, passion for what I care about, positivity energy to bring light and joy to my surroundings, as well as effective and efficient communication have all been the product of my experiences, making my contributions to my team and community. At camp or within and outside of school I’ve worked hard to prove, not necessarily to others, but to myself how capable and strong I am by continuously striving in all that I do. I’ve had the honor of serving in a variety of leaderships positions, such as the leading officer at camp, in charge of directing and being a role model for all the other campers; in the corps of cadets I’ve held many roles including 1st Sergeant, where I was responsible for the morale, wellbeing, and discipline all of the cadets within the company. So much life has happened to me and with all these experiences, both in successes and failures, I’ve discovered so much about myself and become confident in where I stand; I am a capable, resilient, joyful, and dedicated individual, who thrives wherever I’m at.

Accomplishments

I worked with the Leukemia and Lymphoma society as a candidate for Student Visionaries of the Year, over the past two campaign seasons I’ve led my team to raise over $55,000 that has gone to supporting the patients and families who suffer from the effects, injustices, and hardships of illness.

I am currently the vice president of our school’s choir where I help coordinate rehearsals, send out reminders and important information and promote spirit in our small community.

This year I started two clubs; the Environmental awareness committee and the Cooking with Kindness club, both born from me daring to dream of something more, something more for the student body and our humanity.
