1. Became a co-city director in 2019 and assumed the full city directorship in 2022.

2. Provide a bridge between the national Navigators leadership and seven local Navigator ministries led by 18 staff.

3. Lead a local city leadership team of 10 individuals who help execute the Navigators mission and strategies.

4. Create content and lead bi-monthly City Leadership team meetings

5. Develop local mission, vision, and strategies aligned with the National Navigator core values.

6. Attend and participate in National Navigators leadership meetings to help guide the organization and to receive professional development

7. Shepherd the 18 Navigator staff in Albuquerque through regular one on one time.

Nav20s Director

The Navigators | 08.2012 - Current

1. Pioneered a Navigators alumni/young adult ministry called Nav20s in Albuquerque starting in 2012.

2. Develop and create Bible study content and topical discussion material for weekly Nav20s gatherings.

3. Coordinate the weekly gatherings, with 40-50 young adults currently attending. On these Tuesdays, we rotate through a weekly free dinner, bible studies, topical discussions/messages, and fun events.

  • Developed Bible study frameworks, supporting meaningful discussion and practical application.

4. Plan and execute regular fun events for the young adult ministry.

5. Raise funds to help pay for the dinners and activities. As Navigators staff, we are 100 percent supported by churches and ministry partners.

6. Mentor/coach 10+ men in our ministry on a regular basis (meet up every 2-4 weeks depending on schedules).

  • Mentored emerging leaders, equipping them to disciple others with confidence and consistency.

7. Oversee and train one woman staff who is helping lead our women's ministry with Nav20s

8. Attend and participate in national Nav20s leadership meetings for professional development.

The Navigators | 08.2002 - 12.2020

1. Re-opened and pioneered the Navigators UNM campus ministry in the Fall of 2002 and led it until 2012 when I left to start Nav20s. I re-assumed leadership of the UNM Navigators from 2017-2020 concurrently with my Nav20s role. I also led the UNM Navigators ministry from 1990-96 before assuming campus leadership roles at Montana State University (1996-1999) and University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (1999-2002)

  • Directed campus ministry strategy, aligning outreach, discipleship, and leadership development in line with national Navigator mission and vision
  • Identified emerging leaders for training and ongoing mentoring. Developed curriculum and led yearly student leader training.
  • Led and coordinated volunteers and students for Bible studies, events, and campus gatherings.
  • Created content for weekly student gatherings on campus, which included both Bible studies and topical discussions that I taught.
  • Strengthened staff collaboration through clear communication, planning, and follow-through. Trained and shepherded 10+ staff at various times through these years, using Navigators staff training curriculum and life on life principles.
  • Developed and led discipleship plans tailored to student needs, spiritual growth, and campus engagement through life on life ministry
  • Held various leadership roles for student retreats, conferences, spring break trips, and summer training programs
  • Recruited students to attend annual conferences, retreats, spring break trips, summer training programs, and overseas trips
