  • Once I got there, I helped pick weeds, put bark around the flower beds, and also got rid of invasive plant species
  • Winter weather didn’t treat our group very nicely and it began to rain heavily about an hour or two into the job.

Activities

I participate in Upward Bound which is a college-preparatory program as a First-Generation student.

I am also a part of DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) where we do activities that help strengthen our leadership and critical thinking skills to prepare us for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. 

 I am a part of the Band program where we play for school sports programs, assemblies, state send-offs, and where I am a part of the student council which plans fundraising events, how we use funds to buy equipment, leisure activities, and much more. 

I am also a part of the SHelton High School LatinX club.
