Second-generation Union Carpenter and first-generation Mexican-American with deep roots in union values and a strong commitment to labor advocacy. Raised in San Jose, CA, with a solid work ethic instilled by a union carpenter father, I began my apprenticeship with Local 405 and later transferred to Local 1789 in South Lake Tahoe to contribute to its growth and community engagement.
Proven experience in labor organizing, including public speaking at city council meetings in South Lake Tahoe, San Jose, and Santa Clara. Played a role in securing union friendly contracts for multiple projects by mobilizing union support and presenting a compelling case to local government. Active in free speech lines and flyer campaigns, with a strong understanding in both union advocacy and political awareness.
Skilled communicator with comfort addressing crowds, receiving feedback, and working as part of a team. Willing to travel or relocate as needed. Passionate about strengthening union influence through organizing, increasing market share, and promoting safety, inclusion, and diversity within the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
