USAID
  • Lead a $132M global USAID-funded award across 15 diverse country contexts to strengthen MNCH and FP/RH through a mixed health systems strengthening approach to private sector service delivery.
  • Define and execute technical strategy aligned with global USAID and PSI priorities in alignment with national health priorities; supporting innovation incubation across multiple health areas E.g. developing the world’s first provider facing training toolkit in Person Centered Care and first integrated pharmacy FP and child health training approach, piloted successfully in Madagascar.
  • Initiated PSI support for WHO’s first global working group on private sector engagement in MNCH.
  • Contributed to the development of the first WHO Consolidated Guidelines on Self-Care Interventions (2020) and introduced and applied this framework to teams working across multiple health areas within PSI.
  • Positioning PSI as a thought leader in global forums, representing innovations in self-care, digital health, and private sector engagement.
  • Partner with technical and fundraising teams to seed new investments based on existing portfolios E.g. DISC which came from a SIFPO2 investment in DMPA-SC in the private sector, and SCTG which came from advocacy coordination for the self care guideline creation. Directly responsible for successful mobilization of over $200M in new funding from USG and for seeding many complementary investments E.g. a bilateral Benin USG award created from investments in SIFPO2 and MPHD in Benin).

  • In partnership with Digital Health & Quality of Care teams developed a digitally enabled QA model adopted by over 10,000 providers, later recognized by USAID Human Resources for Health as global best practice.
  • Led design and market introduction of DMPA-SC (scaled from 2 to 15 markets) and hormonal IUD (2 to 7 markets).
  • Led PSI’s role in the design element of the Utkrisht Impact Bond, the world’s first maternal and newborn health impact bond.
  • Co-led development of the Equity Tool, improving program equity measurement.
  • Delivered multiple related global projects including EECO and co-founding and launching an independent PSI network member organization in Ghana.
  • Convened and led global Communities of Practice such as USAID-UNFPA Total Market Approaches WG and Self-Care Trailblazers Group.
