I enjoy being busy and I find that that is when I am most productive. Through my professional ventures I have learned patience, grace, and how important teamwork is to succeeding. Through my 15 years of competitive ski racing I have been able to witness the pay-offs from hard work first hand, and I've learned that almost nothing is more powerful than perseverance. Punctuality and responsibility are two traits I've obtained through both of these experiences, and my interest and willingness to learn have only increased as I've matured.
I was originally an environmental journalism major during my freshmen year of college and have an insurmountable passion for environmental writing. Wether it's lab and scientific writing, or informative and article writing, I believe that there is almost nothing more important to the fight for environmental health than effective communication. If environmental journalism was a more feasible job, it would still be my major, but conservation biology utilizes not only my interest in the statistical side of conservation, but my passion for writing as well. I plan to take the class Communication in Ecology during my next semester as it's something I believe is extremely interesting!
