Growing up, I was raised in the US hockey hotbed of Greater Boston, Massachusetts. I started playing Ice hockey when I was 2 years old, making it my longest and most beloved hobby. Heading into Middle School, my family moved permanently to Solana Beach after years of back and forth. My schedule had become too challenging for me to balance sport and academics, so I made the decision to move everything back to the east coast and go to a private school in Ontario, Canada. While this may not be related to the job, playing high level ice hockey has taught me discipline and commitment, skills I can immediately apply in the workplace at a Summer job and wherever my career takes me as an adult. This fall, I will be attending Elmira College where I will continue my ice hockey career and study biology.
