*Insert PICC lines, IV’s, obtain venipunctures, uses ultrasound to insert peripheral IV’s, manage central lines, documents on various data collection tools, educates patients and staff on vascular access devices. Selected as Charge Nurse for Unit.

Inpatient

*Patient care included IV starts, lab work, 12-lead EKG, telemetry monitoring, chest tube bedside placement, management and removal, foley placement, incisional/wound/pressure ulcer care, daily medications focusing primarily on cardiac, diabetic and pain medications, including diltiazem drips. Discharged patients with appropriate post hospital care plan. Functioned as Charge Nurse.

*Interdisciplinary care- collaborated with hospice physicians, Social worker, Chaplain, and Hospice Aides. Preceptor for incoming team members. Patient advocate - educated patients on diagnosed conditions and medications. Managed 15-20 patients

*Unit: RN Case Manager

*Supervised the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility to be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. Admitted, transferred, and discharged residents. Completed accident/incident reports. Worked med carts as needed

*Long-term care and rehabilitation

*Patient care included IV starts, foley placement, incisional/wound/pressure ulcer care, daily medications focusing primarily on cardiac, diabetic and pain medications, and including antibiotics and blood products and computer documentation. *Provided patient care at variety of long-term care/rehab facilities in Gainesville. started IV’s, foley placement, incisional/wound/pressure ulcer care, dispensed daily medications focusing primarily on cardiac, diabetic and pain medications, including antibiotics, and computer documentation.

*Unit: Long term Rehabilitation

*Provide virtual training on Camp Docs computer system on set- up of healthcare rooms to all onsite campus nurses at University of Florida, Georgetown, Stonehill, Lehigh, UVA, UCONN, UCLA, etc. Solely manned healthcare channel, answered emails, calls, questions, and any emergency situations from onsite campus RN’s. Updated the HQ team on any unique or important issues during the summer program. Proactively identified any safety and wellness concerns, before and during summer program. Constructed a health manual for campus RN's to follow for the summer program.

*Provided direct patient care to infants with ventilators/tracheostomy care and g- tubes. Assisted with all activities of daily living and educated family when appropriate. Worked with interdisciplinary care team to establish appropriate goals on patients' care plan.
