This tool is used exclusively at NBH PACU today, and acts as an effective mechanism to sustain a patient safety culture. I changed the staffing model to introduce 12-hour shifts, which reduced overtime and allowed for better RN-to-patient ratio. PACU productivity is sustained with less than 3% OT.
