• 2022 Center of Excellence in Robotic and Hernia Surgeries (COERS, COEH).Surgical Services at NBH acquired the designation based on specialized surgery services Program I helped develop, including clinical pathways, quality parameters, education, and resources management.
• 2017-2018 PACU: Developed and implemented an action plan to improve the 2017 AHRQ Surveys on patient safety culture results in PACU. Improved the 2018 AHRQ scores by 25%.
• Implemented an initiative to improve hand-offs and transitions from the OR to the PACU/floor. This tool is used exclusively at NBH PACU today, and acts as an effective mechanism to sustain a patient safety culture. I changed the staffing model to introduce 12-hour shifts, which reduced overtime and allowed for better RN-to-patient ratio. PACU productivity is sustained with less than 3% OT.
• 2017-2018: PAT/OPSU - Established goals and objectives, implemented strategic plans to improve patient experience and efficiency in PAT and OPSU. Implemented the PAT processes to increase patient satisfaction and efficiency. (Moved chart preparing process to PAT from pre op in order to increase efficiency and accuracy). Collaborated with the physicians and offices to improve physician and patient satisfaction, meetings with NEB Orthopedic, Robotic surgery physicians, and Acacia group led to improved patient outcomes.
