  • Led a critical multi-service Java 11 upgrade across the Files API and adjacent backend services, modernizing the runtime, unblocking newer dependencies, and eliminating long-standing security and support-lifecycle risk for the team.
  • Re-architected the asset events pipeline by migrating from a streams-based model to SQS, improving message reliability, simplifying retry/error handling, and reducing operational toil for on-call engineers.
  • Designed and delivered the backend for a new Bulk Job Update feature that lets operations users upload and validate CSVs to update jobs at scale, replacing slow one-off updates with a self-service workflow used daily by the business.

  • Worked on the Troubleshooting team, we provided a platform for users to login to verizon.com to resolve or troubleshoot the issues they are facing with their device that uses Verizon service.

  • Created an API that makes a call to another service that provides intents or solutions based on the user’s issues.
  • Created an optimized flow where only certain resolutions are provided to users that belonged to a whitelist group – this is useful as issues are device specific.
  • Created a dashboard on Kibana which was a collective of visualization that displayed the number of users face a particular issue, for example Battery draining too quickly. Total number of users logged on to the troubleshooting page, number of their issues resolved. How many errors are thrown and the traffic on the page.
  • Led the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, automating the build, test, and deployment processes for faster and more reliable releases.

  • Worked on enhancing and maintaining our application called Delphi, also known as calculation engine, that prices products and this price will eventually be displayed on Wayfair’s website.
  • Worked solely with a Senior engineer in developing Experiment Service. Experiment service is a microservice that allows data scientists to conduct pricing experiments on Wayfair products. Like how revenue turns up by reducing or increasing prices on products.
  • Worked on Slack integration, hosted a Python script on Kronos to hit an endpoint at a scheduled time. This would create a Hubot message with a returned response and post it in the specific channel. Also created python scripts on Jupyter Notebook to access the database.
  • Implemented Kafka producer/consumer code to read and write data from source to destination. Also, implemented a round robin method to read data.
  • Solely managed on-call rotations especially during Thanksgiving, Christmas and when business is high. Resolved issues and communicated with business for smooth pricing to happen.
  • Delphi was deployed and managed on the Kubernetes cluster. Worked with kubectl commands to scale Kubernetes pods up and down.
