My name is Preston Hammond, I grew up in the state of Missouri. I attended middle school and high school in Warsaw, Missouri, from which I graduated in 2015. I played baseball all throughout high school and middle school. Since the age of 16 I have been an active member of Deer Creek Fire Protection District in Edwards, Missouri. After high school I made the decision to enlist in the US Army as an 11B or otherwise known as Infantry. From which I trained at Fort Benning, Georgia for 14 weeks. I was stationed at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska. I was deployed to Kandahar, in 2017 and returned in 2018.
After the military I got a job as a general laborer at modular concrete docks in Eldon, Missouri. To which I learned the skill of pouring, finishing concrete, and assembling floating concrete docks.
I am a certified firefighter with DCFPD which has given the opportunity to become certified in first aid, AED, CPR, wildland fire, structure fire, vehicle extrication, fire suppression and EMT B.
My awards received in the military include Army Accommodation Medal x3, Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, Afghanistan Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and Army Service Ribbon
