  • Served as the civilian/political link between the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) and the Ministry of National Defense (MOD)
  • Maintained direct oversight responsibility for the offices of the Assistant Ministers of Civil Works, Coast Guard Affairs, Operations respectively, and Departments of History & Research, Sports & Recreation, Operations and Plans & Policy
  • Planned and coordinated operational activities for the MOD and the AFL at senior leadership level to ensure the continuous adoption of strategic transformation, operation efficiencies and troop readiness
  • Ensured direct supervision and coordination of the projects of the MOD, coordination of movement and deployment of troops, monitoring the activities of the AFL and oversight responsibility in the preparation of training and development of budget
  • Provided project status updates, feedback, as well as accurate reports on significant initiatives and responsibilities to leaders and stakeholders
  • Represented and participated in global strategic defense dialogues and cross-functional military initiatives
  • Developed, designed, managed and collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams and security agencies to initiate the Veterans Agriculture Program - a program that promotes training, employment opportunity and re-empowerment of veterans with knowledge and skillsets that help them contribute to subsistence farming, national development, peace and security
  • Established vocational and computer training programs for military dependents in the Army School System
  • Oversaw the former army personnel scholarship program (FASP), an initiate to build capacity of former members of the AFL

  • Responded to developing situations (combat ops), emergencies, and missions of security and surveillance as well as performed search and rescue operations
  • Conducted Area Recon and Military Intelligence
  • Conducted raids and breaching operations, including destroying hostile defensive positions and obstacles along the battlefield
  • Constructed fighting positions, fixed/floating bridges, barriers, and defensive positions
  • Conducted route clearance of obstacles and deactivated improvised explosive devices using Dragon Runner (multi-terrain bomb disposal robot)
  • Reviewed, recommended revisions and help mission implementation
  • Provided logistical support and construction training to the Afghan National Army.

Combat Outpost Zormat, Afghanistan (with Special Ops/Seal Team)

  • Conducted Platoon attacks and raids
  • Performed Key Leadership Engagement (KLE), Executed SWEAT MSO Mission (sewer, water, electricity, academic, trash, medical, security and other)
  • Carried out Village Stability Operation and other essential combat operations.
