Philiospohy: believe children should learn in an open-minded way and with patient caring teachers. What I have known about childhood principles of development is that each child develops differently but there are milestones for each age to accomplish. What I feel about child development is that it's very essential for a child's growth but it's different for every child. Therefore, every teacher should be accommodatable when teaching each child. One of child development theorist that I agree with is Dr. Arnold who was the theorist for maturation. I agree with him because what he supported was how children must reach specific maturational stages in development before their learning influences their behavior. The role of the teacher in helping children learn is very important because that's how students can learn. Teachers play a huge role and are depended upon for teaching students. The practices that are important are in ece are communication, establishing healthy bonds with children, providing diverse curriculum, and DAP. Qualities teachers should have are open-mindedness, patience, good listening, strategist, and adaptability. The learning environment should be fun and engaging for students. Physically there should be different expressions of children and learning activities shown in the classroom. Such as counting numbers, paintings, addition cards, books, etc. The activities best for young children are the ones that allow children to step out their comfort zone which involves play. The role of play in a child's learning allows them to navigate lessons for themselves to discover.

Conclusion : From my experience and learning from the courses that I currently take it has shaped the way i view with working with children. I now understand much more the role of teaching children and how to work with kids at a much more efficient level. The way children learn are all differently but one thing that they have in common is that they learn things all the time in their own way. As a teacher, my best interest will be in helping children learn the best way that helps them with patience and care.
