Very knowledgeable in all surgical procedures, supplies needed and instrumentation.

Prepare and organize equipment, medications, supplies and room for surgical procedures. Analyze patient charts to ensure safe medication administration, anesthesia plan and surgical plan. Bedside patient care from preop to post op. Preoperatively I interview the patient, get appropriate consents signed, prepare medications needed for procedures, ensure patient is prepared appropriately in preop such as shaving, blood products ordered if needed, get family contact information and assess any specific needs or allergies of the patients. Intraoperatively assist in positioning correctly for the procedures, anesthesia induction, administration of medications and ensure the patient is safe. Postoperatively assist in extubation, ensure surgical counts are correct (also during), and take patient to PACU.
