Monitored Pakistani and international Print Media, Washington Post, Wall Journal; New York Times, BBC; and VOA. Monitored Radio Pakistan and TV to track down terrorist and extremist activities and facilitate US Army to accomplish their regional mission. Prepared press summaries and actionable items for High Command based on news items from Urdu, Punjabi, Pashto, Dari, and Sindhi languages in Pakistani media to track down activities of Al-Qaida and Taliban terrorists, Islamist and Jihadist Groups, and Muslim Extremists to support US Army and NATO forces. Taught Urdu and delivered lectures in English to officers and soldiers on armed and security forces, culture, government, history, languages, and geography of Pakistan including politics and conflicts between South Asian countries, and helping them understand the regional politics, people’s culture, and languages. Imparted training to officers and soldiers, prior-to-their deployment to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Mocked the role player in Pashto of an Afghan elder.

I supervised the work of 22 Publicity/Information Officers attached to the Presidency, Ministries of Economics, Defense, Interior, Health, Housing, and Works.

Simultaneously worked as Press Advisor to Press Advisor to Federal Info Minister / Writer of Publicity Articles / Supervisor of Foreign Office Publicity

I coordinated with the USA Embassy Information Staff to hold a concluding Press Conference of Madam Albright, US Secretary of State at the Marriot Hotel, Islamabad.

I coordinated with Director Generals and Directors of Public Relations of Regional Information Offices of Press Information Departments in Provincial Capitals and Regions in four provinces of Pakistan and Provincial Information Departments of four provinces. Supervised work of Central English and Urdu News Desks, prepared “Actionable Items/Capsule Press Summary” and “Daily Press News and Views” informing the Presidency and Prime Minister daily. I supervised the work of Information/Public Relations Officers attached to the presidency, economic, education, defense, finance, interior ministries, and foreign office. I projected the economic, social, and foreign policies of the government within the country and abroad.

While representing the federal government in the Balochistan province worked as Controller and Head of the Regional Information Office of the Government of Pakistan projecting policies and programs of the federal government in the province. Performed duties of HR, administrative; general, and personnel management streamlined working of 7 Information Centers of the Regional Information Office across the Province of Balochistan. While working in proximity to Kabul, Afghanistan, projected activities of Governor Balochistan, highlighted federal activity in the province, and coordinated with the Inter-Services Public Relations Department/ISPR of Pakistan Army in Balochistan and the Provincial Information Department, Government of Balochistan. Performed duties of Supervising Editor of Government Magazines, supervised the work of 3 Editors of Balochi, Brahvi, and Pashto magazines of the RIO, Quetta; and streamlined the work of 7 Information Centers across Balochistan. Created propaganda material and commissioned articles from Baloch, Brahvi, and Pashto Intelligentsia for publication in magazines highlighting policies and programs of the federal government. Supervising the work of Daily News and Views Branch prepared Daily Press Summaries, Daily News and Views; and Weekly/Monthly Situation Reports for onward submission to PID, Head Office; Islamabad.
