- My role on the senior design project was to investigate and to provide solutions for a Company's poor facility's design structure that made it difficult to have a high throughput rate and production rate.
- The objective of my role on the design project was focused on redesigning the facility for higher throughput and production rates within the parameters and limitations of the Company.
- My role also included breaking down the Company's infrastructure for operations to their product demand profile, product family profile, order quantity profile, and cube per order quantity profile.
- I used Excel, Statistical Analysis Software JMP, R- programming, and 2D CAD drawings for the investigating and drawing up conclusions from the Company's operations, that helped to provide solutions for redesigning the Facility layout/structure.
- Improved manufacturing efficiency with the application of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Conducted time studies to identify opportunities for improved resource allocation and labor utilization.
