Job Summary: As an Erosion Control Crew Leader, I play a crucial role in mitigating soil erosion and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. I lead a team in the installation of erosion control measures, operate heavy equipment, transport heavy loads by trailer, and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

Erosion Control Installation:

• Lead and supervise a crew in the proper installation of erosion control measures, including silt fences, seeding and mulching operations, and inlet protection.

Heavy Equipment Operation:

• Operate heavy machinery, such as large and small tractors utilizing various different implements, to install erosion control measures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Heavy Load Transportation:

• Safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment, materials, and supplies using trailers and other appropriate vehicles.
• Secure loads and adhere to transportation regulations to prevent accidents and damage to equipment.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Provide clear instructions, guidance, and training to crew members to ensure they perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
• Promote a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among team members.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and materials consumed.
• Prepare daily reports and submit documentation to my supervisor for review.
