• Plan lessons and implement daily classroom instruction.
• Facilitate classroom instruction using a variety of tools, techniques and strategies to accommodate all learning styles. Instruction includes Class projects, The Empathy Belly, The Baby Think It Over/ (Real Care Babies) experience, School-To-Work Experiences and a variety of handson activities.

• Worked as a Military History Instructor for the US Army. Taught Military History lessons to two platoons of trainees. Lessons were relevant to the training exercises executed by the trainee's at the time. This was a temporary position; it was a study for "Mental Fitness" done by the United States Army.
• Wrote and taught the Creative Enterprises curriculum for the Richland One Works (ROW) Program at Heyward Career and Technology Center. Creative Enterprises was specifically designed to instruct students with special needs. Taught Food Safety and Preparation, Jewelry Making, Crocheting, and the construction of many other marketable craft items and gifts. Students created decorative pillows and hand bags which were for sale.
• Planned and produced an annual Fashion Show and Jewelry Auction for students to model created craft items, and other garments of their choice.
• Family & Consumer Sciences Instructor at Pendergrass Fairwold School. Taught Home Arts to Special Needs students. Taught functional daily living skills such as: Personal Hygiene, Arts and Crafts, Housekeeping and Cooking. Designed Individualized Education Plans to maximize student functionality in the above mentioned areas.
• A new program was later implemented in approximately 2002 by Rosemary Sanders (District Transition Specialist). This program (The Victory Program) was designed for students with mild disabilities needing job skills and training, to successfully transition into the world of work. As a VICTORY Program teacher, taught students how to use, and to manage personal resources. Students received training in Time Management, Money Management, Credit, Meal Preparation, Shopping, Phone Skills, Employee Etiquette, Budget Planning and Teamwork. Students also completed on-the-job training weekly at various volunteer organizations, such as the VA Dorn Medical Center, the Harvest Hope Food Bank, The Cooperative Ministries and The Good Will.
• Instructed students grades 9-12 in a spectrum of Home Economics courses and related activities, such as Consumer Economics, Food & Nutrition, Interior Decorating, Child Development and Human Sexuality.
