FRONT DESK

Michael Thomas Hair Design
02.2017 - 01.2018
  • Working at Michael Thomas Hair Design in Naples was one of the more challenging jobs I have held, but also most rewarding. This high-end salon maintained an extremely strict structure of how the business flowed and learning to provide this structure was what gave the job its difficulties as well as endearment. I was responsible for opening and closing with which I was trusted with the business keys, maintaining overall fluidity of the salon, as well as creating and organizing a functioning schedule for all of the stylists to optimize time usage and ultimately bring in the most business for each one. This position required a high level of multi-tasking, clear communication, trust, and consistency

Horizons for Homeless
  • This organization was first introduced to me as a suggestion from my favorite psychology professor who knew I was seeking relevant experience at the time. Horizons serves to takes in mothers, or parents, with children who have experienced hardship and found themselves in the inescapable rut of two downfalls; homeless and unemployed. During this volunteer work, I would spend two hours every month engaging with the children while their parents sought counsel building a plan for their future with our advisors. We would entertaining the children through puzzles, art, and various interactive games.
