This assignment strived to thoroughly review the Financial Management System in the health facilities under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) at the state and institutional levels. Under the Global HIV/AIDS Initiative Nigeria (GHAIN) project, various HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria services support Nigeria's response to the epidemic. GHAIN was operational in all 36 states of Nigeria. To increase operational efficiency, GHAIN integrated its service delivery packages. The assignment aimed at carrying out a cost-effectiveness analysis of alternative delivery packages.

Under IFPS Technical Assistance, Futures Group International carried out an Operations Research (OR) study to test the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in provisioning Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services in India. Piloting states were UP Jharkhand and Uttaranchal. The senior Programme Specialist was responsible for several activities.
From June 2000 to Sept 2005, I worked as Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Health Management Research, and the critical features of the job were to carry out multiple tasks that included teaching, training and supervision, consultancy, fundraising, and research. There is a possibility of overlapping the dates mentioned as simultaneous involvement in several projects. More than 75 percent of the time is planned for research /evaluation /implementation activities and the rest for training/teaching/ workshops/seminars/supervision of PG students for their research projects. A summary of the activities carried out is as follows:
· Developed several proposals and secured tenders for 14 Implementation/ Evaluation /Assessment /Research projects generating business worth $18 Million, helping the organization increase revenue by 15 percent.
· Managed the tendered projects in various capacities, e.g., team leader, principal investigator, coordinator, and project director, and was entirely responsible and accountable for their execution.
· Executed project activities through direct involvement and supervision on sampling, tools preparation, recruitment and training, logistics and finance, field monitoring, data analysis, reporting, and PowerPoint presentations.
· Tailored, organized, and executed 28 training programs for senior-level Health and Hospital Managers.
· Carried out teaching and supervision activities for Post Graduate students in hospital and health management.

42. Ph. D Thesis: Conducted the research study titled "Efficiency and financing of the health sector: A study of secondary level health services in Andhra Pradesh" for the Doctor of Philosophy degree in economics (Ph.D.) and published three papers the extracts of the thesis.
