• Successfully led the modernization and migration of 45 US Army applications to the Army Enterprise cloud within a timeframe of fewer than 100 days, achieving projected cost savings of 20%

• Created a comprehensive framework for prioritization and rationalization, optimizing the application portfolio management and reducing costs, while conducting data center discovery efforts both domestically and internationally.

• I spearheaded the integration of cyber operations, enterprise information resource management services, and common shared services into a cohesive package for customers to utilize. This integration accelerated the Authority to Operate (ATO) timing and improved the security standards of the applications.

Managed the successful execution of two mission-critical projects for the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Food and Drug Administration.

Accomplishments:

• Responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of the private cloud in the data centers with OpenStack.
• Responsible for establishing/integrating new/existing governance and change control processes to this new environment that included cross-functional team co-ordination.
• Oversaw the implementation and management of the Mobile Applications Environment for the Veteran Affairs. Responsible for putting together the project management plan and providing starter kits for different mobile platforms (iOS, Android, WebApps).
• Responsible for setting up continuous integration (CI) in these environments, guided the integration of automated Fortify scans to the CI jobs, which lead to faster accreditation and speed to production for the VA apps.
• Proactively implemented robust performance monitoring strategies, like data collection, analysis and reporting. Leveraged key metrics and analytics to continuously evaluate and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Information Technology programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Oversaw the design and deployment of FDA's Hybrid Cloud on AWS GovCloud, establishing critical components like VPN tunnels, VPCs, DNS, NTP, Antivirus, IDS, Scanners, Multifactor authentication, and continuous integration tools. Simultaneously, directed the implementation of a private OpenStack cloud within data centers.
• Steered FDA's environment through rigorous ATO processes, ensuring adherence to NIST security controls. Secured ATO for AWSGov Cloud and the Scalr Cloud management platform.
