Work History

Remanufacturing New Production Introduction Eng Tc

Tesla
Buffalo, NY
06.2023 - Current
  • Took ownership and performed New Product Introduction (N.P.I) trials for remanufacturing operations on various lines including (Model 3/Y, Gen 2, Gen 3, ACC-NA, ACC-GB, DCDC, Powerstage, etc)
  • Work closely with Process Engineers, Quality Engineers, Equipment Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, Technical Program/Project Managers, Mechanical Project Technicians, Engineering Supervisors, Tech Writers, and other supporting stakeholders from GFNY as well as other worldwide Tesla locations to develop and release new manufacturing lines and processes.
  • Ramped up Remanufacturing Operations for Model 3/Y vehicles as well as supported Production post Start of Production (S.O.P) to ensure streamlined process.
  • Worked closely with Engineers and External Contractors to introduce and ramp up Model 3/Y Remanufacturing Operations at GFNY. This required extensive product knowledge, issue/failure root cause analysis understanding, technical understanding for station to station process, as well as extreme attention to detail/safety to ensure sustainability and longevity. Once our D-Build was complete, I had to train 3 shifts worth of Remanufacturing Technicians, Co-Support with training Quality Technicians, and Process Technicians on every station/process on the line. Post SOP I continued to trial multiple facets of production, including new pack variant release, where I needed to figure out the intended remanufacturing process for packs with fundamental differences- this required me to work with remote engineers and managers from Lathrop, CA. Releases included me figuring out any physical component discrepancies, physical process deviations, systematic process deviations, technical testing deviations, training discrepancies, documentation discrepancies and space allocation. Once a variant was trialed, I then had handoff procedures where I updated GFNY's Manufacturing Instructions, created matrix resources/part audit lists that easily highlighted all of the differences from variant to variant, updated our virtual instructions (MES System), developed Training Questions and Material that highlights discrepancies so that technicians can intuitively learn and retain the knowledge, as well as teach the Workstation Trainers/Techs from each of the 3 shifts on deviations.
  • Other 3/Y Trials include but are not limited to, Tooling Updates (Adding/Removing based on stakeholders response to their usage) Process Integrations (Scrapping, Work Rebalancing from Station to Station to Increase Cycle Times, Material Shipping Changes, etc) Tooling Use (How techs use tools- Lower Cycle Times/Safer Operation) Releasing Stations (Certain stations are not always functional at S.O.P and have to be released once other outlaying factors are resolved) etc.
  • Ran various NPI Trials on Gen 2: including Gen 2.1, W-242, and other various subcategorizations of the Gen 2 Charger. Process for this was reflectant of that on 3/Y.
  • Subtasks of trials include Material Allocation, Space Allocation, Tooling Allocation, Lineside Inventory Space Allocation, direct/escalate support on MES Material Tracking Developments, Training, Documentation Updates, MES Task Updates, etc
  • Intuitively work with and escalate issues to co-owning stakeholders. This includes Team Meetings, Personal Meetings, Meeting with people from other Tesla locations, etc.
  • Consistently work with teams after trials are complete to uphold sustainability and to be a knowledge resource that's capable of providing answers to multiple facets of production, including but not limited to, Process, Training, Maintenance, Production, etc

Training Coordinator

Tesla
Buffalo, NY
01.2022 - 06.2023
  • Developed extensive interpersonal skills and knowledge on Tesla’s production fundamentals.

  • Establish relationships with production associates, management, and quality technicians to develop new training criteria and exercises to adapt to the constantly changing production environment.
  • Deploy new manufacturing updates to production and quality technicians for every workstation in the facility: this consists of Quality Alert Notices as well and as Manufacturing Notices (changes in production practice, component updates, PPE guidelines, designated steps, Quality Control updates, and more!)
  • Develop Workstation Trainers (WST) on production lines to assist with production workstation cross training.
  • Responsible for understanding all of the production fundamentals and workstation tasks for every power electronic production line so that I can then transfer knowledge between different production teams (Quality, Production, Engineering, Safety, Process Teams) to develop updates and to transfer knowledge amongst different teams/shifts
  • Supported onboarding of new employees by facilitating new hire orientation sessions including benefit enrollment, factory/production tours, introductory learning assessment completion, basic "first day" fundamentals including PPE accessability, Punch-In etiquette, supervisor/workstation introduction, etc
  • Evaluated effectiveness of training programs and recommended improvements to upper management.
  • Learned how to navigate Tesla's internal systems. (Inside Tesla, My Apps, Confluence, JIRA dashboard, PCA's, IT windows, etc)
  • Support PPE and 5S Compliance
  • Supported the deployment of various new training developments while aligning positional duties with the new rubric and positional requirements
