How it all started...

Q's Thoughts for Candles was founded by Aquilla E Scott March of 2020.

This business is none other than a single person creating something she loves.

It started with the making of soy candles, to scented soaps and then body butters.

I searched for body butters for a long time.

I asked different people to make them for me.

I tried to buy them online and had no success so I started making them myself.

I tested the early ones on my own skin and my nephews who suffered with eczema.

I figured if I could clear their skin, I am destined to be great!

A little about me...

I am a proud graduate of an HBCU with high aspirations! Born and raised in San Francisco, Ca with an enthusiastic mind and grand ideas to create what I want. I work hard to play hard. My motto has always been "if you're going to do it, then do it!" This is a hobby and also something that I have grown to love.

I am a highly motivated and experienced small business owner passionate about entrepreneurship and building successful, sustainable businesses.

A little about the logo...

The logo depicts a woman of color with flowers which cover her eyes yet are close to her nose. "The Scents of the Mind" is what she is portraying, Simple thoughts of scents that are both comforting and relaxing for the mind.

A little about the products...

The soaps are made from a cocoa butter soap base with added fragrance oils.

The candles are made with soy wax and added candle scents.

The body butters are made with 4 different oils and a fragrance oil.

About the use of the products...

All products are made with love and can be given a great gifts. The body butters and soaps should be used externally. The body butters should be used as a topical just as you use a lotion or body oil.

All products are handmade to order. They have not been tested on any animals. If any irritation occurs while using the butters or soaps, please discontinue use.
