The company was originally Groupware International and later merged with direct tv and changed it’s name to Multiband.
This job was multi-faceted. It required security clearance because I was dealing with both Customer and employees’s personal information on a daily basis. Each of the jobs could be performed from home also, so a lot of it was done from home depending on how late technicians were out completing installations.
I performed as Dispatch, Office Manager, Payroll , and Human Resources.
As a Dispatcher, my job duties centered around assembling job routes each day for the service technicians and acting as the communicator between the customer and the technician providing etas and updates. Also, having to key detailed notes on each job throughout the day. After the appointments were completed, I was responsible for calling customers to follow-up after the technician has left to see if they were satisfied with their service. I had to forward any issues to my General Manager any issues and keep an open line of communication between the technician, Customer, and management to resolve any issues.
As Office Manager, I was responsible for making and posting the Dispatcher schedule weekly, printing the routes for the technicians each day assigning equipment to the technicians for scheduled jobs each day, forwarding any benefit changes to the correct department for processing, Putting in vacations for all employees.
My Payroll duties centered around processing work codes to compute technician pay. I had to learn and train on an Accounting program that was created for me to process work codes for employees to get paid each pay period. I was responsible for editing and correcting incorrect codes to be processed for the technician’s pay each period by the deadline. Each pay cycle had a specific day that all codes had to be reconciled by before the Payroll could be ran. Also, all clock-ins and attendance had to be monitored for accuracy and to compute hourly pay for the office Dispatchers. As Human Resources, I was responsible for assisting the General Manager with the hiring process including interviews, job applications, collecting information for background checks, follow-ups with potential employees & communicating pre-job screenings and orientation.
Customer service was the main focus of the job. The majority of each day was spent talking to Customers about their cable installation experience.
