• Oversees the physical and mental wellbeing of 25-35 campers on a ranch property in Colorado.
• Coordinates staff, campers, and resources of 3-6 daily in camp activities and 3-5 simultaneous backcountry expeditions.
• Writes and conducts bi-weekly staff evaluations.
• Communicates and coordinates logistics and camp resources with other program coordinators and administration.
• Trains staff in daily camp life, child care, backcountry skills, and emergency procedures.
• Creates a menu, plans up 8 large scale activities, and coordinates 70-80 camp staff and 130-150 campers for a themed 'Special Day.'
• Administers first aid and daily medication for campers and staff in camp and on backcountry expeditions.
• Leads and performs in skits and camp songs in 'campfires' for parents, campers, and staff.

Head Counselor

• Manages the hygiene, daily routine, social dynamics, and physical and emotional health of a cabin of 5-6 campers for 4 weeks.
• Creates and leads a variety of engaging and creative in camp activities.
• Communicates personal and camper needs to the program coordinator. Monitors campers throughout camp.
• Encourages and supports campers to safely explore experiences outside their comfort zone.
• Writes weekly letters to parents or guardians to inform them about their campers recent activities and triumphs.
• Administers first aid for campers and staff in camp and on backcountry expeditions.
• Lifeguards for swimming or water based activities.
• Leads and participates in daily camp activities with campers.
• Drives 15 passenger vans on highways, city roads, and dirt roads.
• Co leads 3-5 day back country expeditions in the Colorado wilderness of 5-9 campers. Expeditions include backpacking up to 10 miles per day, summiting mountains, and canoeing lakes. Other responsibilities include, cooking, setting up shelter, navigation, administering first aid, risk management, and maximizing camper experience.

Activity Specialist

• Works with program coordinators and admin to support counselors and campers in daily activities.
• Leads and manages safety for campers and staff in unique activities including archery, hatchet throwing, climbing, horseback riding, and swimming.
• Lifeguards for swimming or water based activities.
• Helps the kitchen cook meals.
• Helps package food and supplies for a variety of camp expeditions.

Assistant Counselor

• Cleans, dries, and organizes camp wide dishes.
• Cleans and preps the food hall for camp meals.
• Manages and removes camp wide trash.
• Supports head counselors with all of their responsibilities.

• Head counselor for 30 campers in a day camp setting.
• Managed health risk related to COVID-19.
• Leads and manages safety for campers in activities including arts and crafts.
