There are many different types of martial arts, including taekwondo, karate, and jiu jitsu.): a Japanese martial art for defeating an armed and armored  opponent in which one uses no weapon, or only  a short weapon. Practitioners neutralize an enemy with pins, joint locks, and throws by using and attacker's energy against him, rather than directly opposing it as with other martial arts such as karate. I had learned five different  types of training: blocking, fulcrum throw, non-fulcrum throw, escaping, and striking. I got involved to stay in shape and there was nothing to do in my neighborhood as a young black boy growing up in the projects it was either drugs, gangs or finding Kidz club that built  and designed to keep young black boys and girls off drugs as a alternate choice.
