I have been a stay at home Mom for the past seven years. I chose to stop working to raise my two children. That has been the most rewarding time in my life, so far. Prior to having my children, I was a an Interior Designer. However, I believe the most meaningful career I could have would be as a Teacher's Aide. I enjoy helping children to think creatively, solve problems, learn to respect others, and help them to discover new things each day. The past six years, I have been taking care of my mother who was diagnosed with Dementia. Now that she is living in a memory care unit, I am ready to begin a new career helping teachers foster a positive, productive, and encouraging classroom environment.
Raised my two children. I volunteer in their classrooms and am involved in all of their activities and help with their education. Currently, I assist witht the Literacy Center for both my children's classes and teach the Art Literacy class each month to both classes as well.
Coordinated care for my mother before and while living in a Memory Care Community. I was responsible for taking my Mother, to doctor appointments, assisting with bathing and personal hygiene, purchase medications, food and clothing, organize her living space, encourage and participate in activities that will safely promote physical, emotional, and social well being.
