As the program manager I led a team of educators in an interactive educational after school program with 40 plus children.

  • This position was a challenge that I worked immensely at to improve to program to make it successful
  • The program manager role was to help children develop social-emotional skills, character, positive identity, and to develop personal relationships with parents/school officials in order to ensure satisfaction and safety for all children
  • Responsible for ordering all supplies and teaching daily curriculum
  • Managed staff compliance with district-specific policies and procedures along with KDHE requirements
  • Effective classroom management to maintain the safety, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, fitness activities, and dietary needs
  • Daily duties included organizing program materials for lessons and activities, teaching and helping with curriculum, parent conversations on behavior, document attendance, incidents, and accidents
  • The program shut down due to Covid in March 2020 and never reopened
