Perform Rapid On-Site Evaluations (ROSE) for FNA and core biopsy procedures in bronchoscopy (including EBUS, TBNA and robotic-assisted cryobiopsy), endoscopy, interventional radiology, ultrasound and computerized tomography.


Perform daily molecular testing on primary, co-testing and reflex HPV specimens using Roche's COBAS system


Perform routine microscopic evaluation of GYN, NON-GYN, FNAs and core biopsies


Work closely with UTSW/Parkland fellows, residents and cytotechnology students during clinical rotations


Gross core biopsy specimens and submit to surgical pathology for processing


Communicate in a clear, concise and respectful manner during complex procedures to ensure streamlined flow of accurate information amongst radiology, cytopathology, pulmonology and/or other service teams and nursing staff


Perform quality control screening and provide feedback to management concerning new hires. Offer advice when necessary and/or solicited as new hires adjust to fast-paced Parkland environment. Big believer in facilitating a "working as a team" environment


Report using Beaker in EPIC and document daily screening workload and other duties in accordance with CLIA and CAP regulations
