Summary

Investing in me, is investing in a provider that intends to stay loyal to Mayo Clinic, continue to grow personally and professionally within the community, and represent the Cardiology Department at Mayo Clinic in opportunities for leadership positions and volunteer work within the organization. I am a compassionate and patient-centered Nurse Practitioner student with 6 years of clinical experience working with cardiovascular patients. Mayo Clinic's unique Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship allows a space for a new APP to grow their critical thinking skills and increase their confidence to practice in cardiovascular specialty areas. I have challenged myself both inside and outside of the classroom to be well prepared for an APP role. I feel that the knowledge that would be obtained in this Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship is invaluable. Mayo Clinic is the standard in healthcare. The strong foundation that was instilled in me while working at Mayo Clinic has greatly influenced how I carried myself in my nursing career. The pillars of Mayo Clinic's values (R.I.C.H. T.I.E.S.) are present in my bedside manner, my graduate coursework, and they will be carried into the next step of my career moving into a provider role.
